What you'll do
--------------

Begin your journey with a visit to the ancient Temple of Dionysus, where you’ll discover the importance of wine, celebration, and mythology in ancient Naxos. Continue to one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Greece, dedicated to the goddess of agriculture and harvest. Explore the archaeological site and museum.

Visit a traditional family pottery workshop in Damalas and watch local artisans demonstrate techniques that have been passed down through generations. Stroll through the picturesque village of Halki before visiting the historic Kitron distillery to learn about Naxos’ famous citrus liqueur and enjoy a tasting.

Enjoy free time in one of Naxos’ most beautiful mountain villages, Apeiranthos. Explore its marble streets, browse local shops, and have lunch at a traditional taverna. Visit one of the oldest Christian churches in Europe, dating back to the 6th century, renowned for its remarkable early Byzantine architecture and rare frescoes.

Make a short stop at the historic marble quarries and learn about the marble that shaped many of the island’s ancient monuments. Walk to the impressive unfinished ancient Kouros statues and discover the fascinating stories behind these monumental sculptures.

Finish the day with a guided tour of the traditional olive press museum, followed by a tasting of local extra virgin olive oils while learning about the island’s centuries-old olive-growing tradition.
